Supported Accommodation
Definition
A supported accommodation provider for young people in the UK is an organisation or service that offers housing with additional support to young people (typically aged 16-25) who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or in vulnerable situations. These providers offer a safe living environment alongside support for independent living skills, education, employment, and emotional well-being to help young people transition to stable, long-term housing.
Supported accommodation options are also available for adults who may have disabilities, mental health needs, substance misuse issues, or other vulnerabilities.
