Martyn's Law

Definition

Martyn’s Law, also known as the Protect Duty, is proposed UK legislation aimed at improving public safety by requiring venues and organisations to have security measures against terrorism. Named after Martyn Hett, a victim of the Manchester Arena attack, the law emphasises preparedness, risk assessments, and staff training to prevent and respond to threats.
