Duty of Care

Definition

Duty of care is a legal and ethical obligation requiring employers to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of their employees. This includes assessing and mitigating risks, especially for lone workers who may face heightened dangers due to isolation. Fulfilling duty of care strengthens trust and protects organisations from legal liabilities.
